The new Kiva 2010 Calendar is now with Chris @ Kivastore – who has got it off to the printers and opened up for pre-orders. Thanks to everyone at Kivafriends (Charmaine in particular) who was involved, the calendar looks great – though I might be just a little bit biased!!

Wonderful calendar Charmaine, all of your time and hard work shows. Thank you for all that you have done to get this on the drawing board and back from the presses! Great job, truly.

The calendar is absolutely beautiful! Great job all.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to buy them b/c the shipping to Canada is $25!
I hope you get a lot of orders from people in the States or from those who can afford the shipping. The calendar is so cheerful and colourful. It will certainly add that special something to any kitchen, office or school room.

$25? I sent something way heavier to MeJane, and it only cost me $7 Cdn. It’s not your fault, but that really stops me too.
Best of luck! It looks great!
Jane.

I ordered mine as soon as I heard, and the postage is pretty much the same as it was last year. Now I have seen what I am getting, I am so ready to go pick up my mail, I hope it hurries. Thanks so much Charmaine and all your silent helpers and for Chris and all the mess in your home:)

I hadn’t visited my old favorite place in the internet world for some time, KivaFriends.org, but I somehow came across news and photos of the new 2010 calendar. After the great achievements and success of the first calendar and struggles with unforeseen limitations on the second, I am extremely pleased and surprised to see the third annual version! My hopes are that the process can continue for upcoming years and I will definitely be grabbing my copies to hand out. Im really proud of whomever combined their efforts to make this happen–its not an easy task for sure. Hello to all the old friends and acquaintances at KF–I send my best.

Just a follow up–any KIVA FRIEND member from Canada or any other country for that matter who would like a calendar but dont want to pay the shipping costs–I would be happy to send one along, but only once the calendars sell out. I hope to receive 10 and will have a few extras available. Let me know anytime and if they sell out I will save a few for those who missed out….Akshara3000@msn.com

Excellent work and THANKS to all who worked on this project to its fruition. I ordered two numbers of the ten-pack. Currently a five-pack is avaiable. At the time of the order, I learnt that it would take 2-3 weeks to ship out. Awaiting receipt of the shipment about mid-October.
Cheers,

The perfect Christmas gift for my friends who are just getting into Kiva. I ordered extra with the intention of using some in a middle school lesson plan. The wheels are turning… Thanks for this!

Got mine! Beautiful!!

I just checked shipping on a 5-pack to Canada and the shipping is only $10. A total of $24 including shipping for 5 calendars isn’t so unreasonable IMO.

I am really looking forward to getting some of these – I would like to ship 10 to Australia but postage is rather high $32.00 USD ….. are there any other options?????
I guess the end cost is reasonable – 6USD per calendar.
KIVA – thankyou for the opportunity to allow us to be part of the global community. Marx would be catatonic!

I’m in Canada. Quebec to be more precise. I’m ordering 1 calendar and 1 piggy bank and total Shipping is $3.50

I too am in Canada and very disappointed to see the shipping costs to send items here … I used to live in teh US and shipping to Canada was at best only incrementally more expensive that sending to US destinations so I am not sure what gives here. If shipping for 5 calendars will cost me $25 then I woudl far rather spend that money on a loan for someone who needs it. That said, I would have loved to get the calendars for my friend and family.

Lovely and colorful work

Is the 10$ in shipping a KIVA decision or paypal? It would not cost that much to mail to Canada as there are no ships nor planes involved.
December 27th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
It is probably a kivastore.org decision.

I was wondering if the postage to Canada would be cheaper if I ordered 5 or 6. Lovely and inspiring calendar.
